Ministry Objective:

To reach out to the elderly in Hampton Roads area nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other locations as the Holy Spirit leads. To share with the elderly the Love of God, our heavenly parent, by devoting our time, talents, and Spiritual gifts that God has given us. This ministry is open to ALL. Come join us for some fun. Be a blessing to others and experience the joy of sharing.

Typical Activities include:

• Opening prayer
  

• Sing-a-long and Spirit-filled music
  

• “Hot Potato” Game – Every resident wins a prize!
  

• Gift Bags to residents
  

• One on one chat/hugs/prayer time with residents
  

• Visit residents confined to their beds/rooms
  

• Closing Prayer
  

NOTE: Activities can always be modified or catered to each individual visit to fit the facility's residents needs.

• Hand-made Quilts and Pillows donated to us through the Citizens Committee to Protect  the Elderly
  

• Small packages of facial tissues donated by members of our congregation
  

• Gift bags put together by volunteers
  

• Small plush toys (huggable)
  

• Flowers
  

• Large Print Word-FindPuzzles /Crosswords
