Our pulpit had been vacant since April 2006, but God continued to bless New Life MCC as we asked the question – Are You the ONE to lead a Lay empowered, Christ-Centered, Holy Spirit driven congregation of approximately 100? Are you the Sheppard with qualities needed to educate and lead the church body deeper into our vision to “Reach, Teach, and Empower into wholeness through Jesus Christ”?
As God lead the Israelites out of Egypt, God also has lead our journey in ALL aspects. God certainly is an “ON TIME” God.
God sent us Rev. Reg Richburg to lead us on the next phase of our journey and the New Life MCC Congregation has voted him in as Pastor.
Rev Reg is the new Pastor to implement our 30 year vision of a Christian Community Campus. A place for our elderly single and couples to reside regardless of orientation, a place to teach needed life skills to those who are struggling for a better life, a place where Christ is at the center of all we do!!
Rev. Reg is a graduate of SUNY Stony Brook University Graduate School of Social Welfare. While serving as a senior administrator of a New York social service agency, he graduated from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, Institute for Not for Profit Management.
Rev. Reg is ordained UFMCC clergy, whose pastoral experience is in the areas of counseling, Spiritual Direction, labyrinth work, meditation and retreat facilitation.
He has through the years served multiple MCC’s in various positions bringing a broad base of lay practical knowledge as well as being a graced teacher and preacher, spiritual guide, and committed man of God.

What is their journey? We as the Congregation, PST and BOD believe that their journey is to help us – New Life MCC – deepen our call to reach, teach and empower into wholeness through Jesus Christ.
We are pleased to welcome them home to the community of Hampton Roads, Rev. Reg Richburg and Susie Chin!
